PlainEmployers profiles 290,575 US employers using three public-domain federal datasets: 234,110 H-1B Labor Condition Applications from the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Foreign Labor Certification (covering 36,919 H-1B sponsors), workplace-injury records from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Injury Tracking Application, and 65,731 mass-layoff notices filed under the federal WARN Act. According to the Department of Labor, those Labor Condition Applications must disclose the wage offered for each role, so each employer page fuses disclosed H-1B wages, an OSHA-derived safety grade and any layoff history into one transparent profile.
