A dated, honest record of data refreshes, corrections, and feature changes on PlainEmployers. See our methodology for the full pipeline and our corrections process for how we handle reported errors. To report a figure, use the data corrections form.

  1. Feature

    Shipped /data: open H-1B∪WARN employer roster as CSV and JSON (CC BY 4.0), with Dataset JSON-LD, CiteThis, and a revenue-readiness note (not activated). Links from footer, methodology, sitemap-pages, and llms.txt.

  2. Feature

    Shipped /changes: FY2024 to FY2025 H-1B filing volume movers (comparable-set employers), with CSV download, Atom feed, and per-employer ChangeBand when a floor-qualifying delta exists (portal commits 7b881e1, dfe1fb9).

  3. Feature

    Shipped /statistics: national H-1B, OSHA, and WARN aggregates with Key Findings, Dataset JSON-LD, CiteThis, and AnswerCapsule for citation (portal commits 1a17eb2, 61473fd).

  4. Correction

    Folded case-variant metro slugs into a single canonical metro per city/state (title-case normalize before slugify). Former -N collision URLs now 301 to the canonical page; New York, NY is one profile with the merged employer total rather than split pages (ETL stage metros v1; portal metro_aliases map).

  5. Data refresh

    Re-ran wage and data outlier guards on the live corpus and restamped etl_version / last_upgrade so pages reflect cleaned DOL LCA rows rather than parse-error extremes (_metadata stage:fix-data-outliers).

  6. Correction

    OSHA safety grades now name the 2-digit NAICS hours-weighted DART basis on the profile instead of implying an employer-only industry peer set (portal commit c1282f7).

This changelog lists only changes we can corroborate against commit history and database metadata. It does not yet cover every historical change; entries begin from when this public record was introduced.
